Ingredients:
Casserole 1 (2-lb) bag frozen hash brown potatoes 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 Tbsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 2 Tbsp onion, chopped 1 can cream of chicken (or celery) soup 1 cup sour cream 1 cup milk 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 1-1/2 to 2 cups sharp cheese (Colby or Cheddar), grated
Topping 2 Tbsp butter or margarine 1 cup breadcrumbs
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients and put in a 9'' x 13'' pan or similar large casserole dish. Set aside while you make the topping. Melt butter in a small skillet, add breadcrumbs, and sauté until lightly browned. Remove from heat and sprinkle topping over potatoes. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
